TruckerProfits is built for truck drivers. We know you value your data and your privacy. This policy explains plainly what we collect, why, and how you can control it.

1. What We Collect

•Account information you provide when signing up: name, email address, and account type (owner-operator or fleet owner).
•Business information you optionally enter: company name, DOT number, MC number, and phone number.
•Load scoring data: pickup city, drop city, offered rate, and the results we calculate. This data is stored locally on your device in V1 and may be synced to our servers in future versions.
•Truck profile data: MPG, maintenance cost per mile, monthly payments, and insurance — values you enter to configure your cost model.
•Usage data: which features you use, how often you score loads, and basic analytics to improve the app. We use PostHog for product analytics.
•Device information: device type, operating system, and app version for troubleshooting.

2. What We Do Not Collect

•We do not collect your precise GPS location.
•We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone without explicit permission.
•We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Ever.
•We do not share individual load data with brokers or carriers.

3. How We Use Your Data

•To provide and improve the TruckerProfits service — scoring loads, tracking P&L, and managing your fleet.
•To send you transactional emails: account confirmations, weekly P&L summaries (if you opt in), and billing receipts.
•To analyze how the app is used in aggregate, so we can prioritize features that matter most to drivers.
•To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.

4. Data Storage & Security

•Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) for cloud storage, which is encrypted at rest and in transit.
•Authentication is handled by Clerk, which uses industry-standard security practices including bcrypt password hashing and HTTPS everywhere.
•Load history in V1 is stored locally in your browser. It stays on your device until you clear it or switch devices.
•We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days.

5. Third-Party Services

•Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication and user management.
•Supabase (supabase.com) — database and cloud storage.
•Resend (resend.com) — transactional email delivery.
•Stripe (stripe.com) — payment processing. We never store your payment card details.
•PostHog (posthog.com) — product analytics. Data is anonymized and aggregated.
•Vercel (vercel.com) — app hosting and deployment.
•Google AdSense — banner advertising on the free tier. Google may use cookies to serve relevant ads.

6. Your Rights

•Access: You can request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
•Correction: You can update your account information at any time in the app settings.
•Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at privacy@truckerprofits.com.
•Opt-out: You can opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
•If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA including the right to know, right to delete, and right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data).

7. Children's Privacy

•TruckerProfits is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

•We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a prominent notice in the app. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
